Three new patterns
I had three new patterns released recently! Two are in Knit Picks pattern collections and the third is a free pattern on the Knit Picks website.
Mossy Cable Mittens
The first pattern is the Mossy Cable Mittens in Everyday Rustic: A Textured Tweed Collection. I love tweed and cables and they come together beautifully in these mittens. A lovely cable runs up the back of the mittens and comes to a neat point near the fingertips. The cable is surrounded by seed stitch for added texture.
Simple Stripe SocksThe next pattern is the Simple Stripe Socks in Simply Socks: A Collection of Wardrobe Basics. These socks are worked by alternating between two colors to form narrow stripes on the main part of the sock, with a third color used on the cuff, heel and toe. There are so many possibilities for personalizing colors with this basic pattern. I made a couple versions myself. The modeled version has stripes in white and light gray which has a more subtle effect. Using colors with more contrast would look great as well.
The last new pattern is the Stripy Spheres which is a free download on the Knit Picks website. This is a fun and easy pattern and is a great way to use up small amounts of yarn. It is also a great project for playing around with color. They are worked in the round and stuffed before finishing. There are versions with no stripes, one, two or three stripes. Lots of options!
