A Few Gifts

The last few weeks I've spent a lot of time coming up with and finishing a couple of gifts. Both of them were finished a day or two before they had to be! It always feels like there is plenty of time to finish things until the week before they need to be done.

My cousin and his wife are expecting a baby soon, but they aren't finding out whether it's a boy or a girl until it is born. This made it a bit more challenging to decide what to make. I found out that the nursery decor will include owls, so I thought I'd knit up a lovely little toy for the new baby. I had a lot of fun designing it and I was really pleased with how it turned out, particularly the ears. Hopefully I will have the final pattern finished and on Ravelry soon.

A friend of mine got married last weekend. For her I knit a set of washcloths for her kitchen. I did three with a diamond pattern and seed stitch border and three that were made completely in seed stitch. I really love the colors!

Hopefully the recipients will enjoy their handmade gifts as much as I enjoyed designing and making them!
